You can create a model by importing a bitmap image.
Examples of files you can import include .bmp, .dib, .rle, .jpg, .jpeg, .jfif, .gif, .emf, .wmf, .tif, .tiff, .png,
and .ico. When creating a model from an image, you must specify the method
by which you want to import the file.
To create a model by importing a bitmap image:
1.
Display the Open dialog:

If you have not
yet created a model, click Open on the start screen.

If you have
already created a model, select File > Open.

Select the file you want to import.
3.
Click Open. The Open dialog
closes and the Set Model Size dialog is displayed, which shows
the Height and Width of the model.
4.
Select the Units in which you want
to work.
5.
Choose how you want to specify the size of the
model. Select:

Image size to use the image's dimensions, and then enter
the Height and Width.
·
Scanned
d.p.i. to use the
image's resolution, in dots per inch, and then enter the d.p.i..
Tip: Reduce the d.p.i. to
increase the model's size; increase the d.p.i. to reduce the
model's size.
6.
Enter a Height in Z value to
specify the maximum height of the model.
7.
Click the centre or a corner of the white box to
specify the Origin of the model.
